IELTS Academic Course

This course is tailored for individuals aiming to achieve higher education or professional success in English-speaking settings. With a focus on academic language and skills, students will practice interpreting data, reading academic texts, and writing essays—key components of the IELTS Academic exam.

Obtaining a high IELTS Academic score is often a prerequisite for enrolling in university undergraduate or master’s programs and is highly regarded by employers and professional bodies worldwide.

Course Duration: 6 weeks

Start Dates: 6th January, 7th April, 7th July and 7th October

Timetable: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 12:15

Minimum Level Required:

6-week IELTS course: Minimum B1+ level

25-week course option: A2 level (combining 19 weeks of General English + 6 weeks of IELTS preparation)

Important Notice for IELTS Exam Preparation Students

*Exam Dates are subject to change in line with external exam centre dates and availability. Please note that the IELTS exam may take place mid-week following the conclusion of the 6-week preparation course. To ensure you can sit the exam in Cork, please make the necessary arrangements and book accommodation for at least one additional week after the course ends.
