The IELTS Academic specifically measures whether your level of English language proficiency is suitable for an academic environment.
It reflects aspects of academic language and evaluates whether you’re ready to begin training or studying for example on an Undergraduate or Masters course delivered through English.
The writing tasks, for example, prepare you for academic work (academic vocabulary about graphs, statistics research methods etc).
The course includes preparation for Academic Reading, Academic Writing, Listening with regular timed examination practice as well as preparation and practice for speaking exam.

Exam dates may vary based on external exam center availability. The IELTS exam could be mid-week after the 6-week course. Arrange accommodation for an extra week in Cork and confirm dates with the school before booking flights.
