Prices
All host family bookings are subject to a €60 placement fee.
*Only €30 if this is not your first time making a homestay booking
Option 1: Homestay with Meals (half-board)
- Single Room: 220.00 € per week
- Twin Room: 390.00 € (195.00 € per person) per week
- Double Room: 390.00 € (195.00 € per person) per week
Included in the weekly price: – meals, electricity, internet and laundry facilities – your host family will pick you up at your current address in Cork and drive you to their home
Meals: Breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays
Option 2: Homestay Room Only (Self Catering)
- Single Room: 190.00 € per week
- Twin Room: 330.00 € (165.00 € per person) per week
- Double Room: 330.00 € (165.00 € per person) per week
Included in the weekly price: – electricity, internet and laundry facilities – your host family will pick you up at your current address in Cork and drive you to their home
Kitchen Access: You have access to the host family kitchen to prepare and cook food you buy yourself. You will be provided with designated space in the fridge, as well as some cupboard space to store your food.
Payment
- All host family bookings are subject to a €60 non-refundable placement fee (only €30 if this is not your first time booking).
- If you choose 4 weeks host family (€220 x 4 + €60 placement fee) in this form you will be asked to pay for the 4 weeks today. Choosing 4 weeks single room with meals for example will be 940€ total which needs to be paid at reception today.
- If you choose 8 weeks host family (€220x 8 + €60 placement fee) in this form you will be asked to pay for the 8 weeks today. Choosing 8 weeks single room with meals will be 1820€ total which needs to be paid at reception today.
- You can pay by card at the school reception desk.
Terms and Conditions
- Students may not visit host families in advance of making a booking (all of our host families have been carefully selected, visited and approved by the school).
- Students will be placed in a family based on availability, not based on location or distance to school.
- It is not possible to know the specific location before making a booking.
- Host Families are on the Cork City ‘Red Zone’ bus routes (bus numbers 201 to 220).
- Average journey by bus from the host family house to the school is 30 minutes. Please keep in mind that you may need to buy a bus pass. Example fare: Monthly Student Leap Card 54.00 €.
- Host Family stays are based on a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday booking only.
- Homestay bookings must be made through our online booking form.
- 2 week booking minimum applies.
- Host family extensions must be confirmed by return email.
- A non-refundable placement fee €60 applies the first time you make a booking, then non-refundable processing fee €30 applies for each extension (additional booking).
