Social Activities

Taking part in social activities at CEA is a very important part of the study abroad experience and we try to make sure that we have something for everybody.

Learning English at CEA is greatly enhanced when students are involved in social and activity events.

Taking part in activities enables students to continue to learn about Irish culture and heritage while practicing and developing language skills in the real world.

We strongly encourage students to take part in the school’s weekly organised events along with promoting activities, festivals and interesting places to visit in Cork and surrounding areas.

Social Activities

Taking part in social activities at CEA is a great way to make new friends and get to know Cork City as well as the surrounding area.

The activities are organised with our students in mind, so are often free or at a low cost.

We also offer a mix of day and evening activities so that there is always something to suit a busy student schedule.

Student Favourites:  Crawford Gallery and Shandon Tower

Evening Favourites: Pub night, Irish dancing lessons, bowling.

Festivals and Holidays

While in Cork we love our students to see how we celebrate our festive days and holidays. For each festivity, whether it be St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas or Halloween, we like to share our customs and traditions with our students by holding parties and having some holiday themed competitions.

Please see the Festivals and Places of Interest pages for further information about what Cork city has to offer.
