Accommodation

To make your stay in Ireland as comfortable as possible it is important that you choose the right type of accommodation.

At Cork English Academy we have several accommodation options available. All of our accommodation is inspected and regularly checked by our Accommodations Department to ensure that the highest standards are always offered to our students. The accommodation options are:

STANDARD SHARED APARTMENT

If you would prefer to live more independently during your stay in Cork you can choose to share an apartment in the city centre with other students from Cork English Academy. You will have a private bedroom with shared living and kitchen areas and a shared bathroom. You provide your own food but bed linen is provided.

Location: College Road, Cork. 1.8km walk from school
3 & 4 bedroom apartments sharing a bathroom with maximum 2 others (8 bedroom townhouses in the same location may be used in times of peak season which have 8 bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms. 6 students maximum will be placed in these houses)
Students have a private bedroom with shared living room/kitchen
The accommodation price includes heat, electricity, cable TV, broadband internet, bed linen. Towels are provided in June, July and August only
2 free access times per week to the Leisure centre ( 20.00-21.00 on Wednesdays & 19.00 to 21.00 on Sundays) with 25m pool, sauna, jacuzzi, outdoor hot tub and gym. €4 per visit for any additional visits
24 hour warden on-site which caters for early or late arrivals
On site self service laundry costs €2.00 per wash and €2.00 per dry
Onsite shop and cafe
No airport transfer included but available on request

SHARED APARTMENT WITH PRIVATE BATHROOM

If you would prefer to live more independently during your stay in Cork you can choose to share an apartment in the city centre with other students from Cork English Academy. You will have a private bedroom with private bathroom with shared living and kitchen areas. You provide your own food but bed linen is provided (one towel per room is also provided).

Location: Copley Street, Cork City. 1.1 km walk to school
3, 4, 7 bed apartments. All bedrooms are en-suite
Reception open each day from 8am to 6 p.m.
The accommodation price includes heat, electricity, cable TV, broadband internet, bed linen and one towel
Residential Warden patrols at night
Full-time on site maintenance person
Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine in each apartment. No additional charges for use.
Complex is located 3 min walk from City Centre

STANDARD HOME STAY

You live with a host family where you will get to experience life in an Irish household and practice your English in real life situations. Our host families are carefully selected, friendly local families who are happy to welcome you into their home. You will have a single room with breakfast and evening meal provided Monday to Friday and Breakfast, lunch and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday. Most family homes are located just outside the city centre and so you may need to take public transport to and from the school.Average distance between the school and host families is 25 minutes (maximum 30) by bus.Transfers to and from Cork airport on your arrival and departure are also included.

DOUBLE OR TWIN ROOM HOME STAY

Similar to Standard Home Stay but suitable for couples, relatives or friends travelling together. Couples can share one room with a double bed. Relatives or friends travelling together can share a twin room which is one room with two single beds.

EXECUTIVE HOME STAY

Our business or professional students may consider choosing our Executive Home stay option where in addition to the facilities in the Standard home stay you will have a private bathroom and morning transfers to the academy.

Daily Breakfast provided and dinner provided evenings where client is not going on arranged evening dinners as part of Executive Business English Course

If you are staying for a short time or you prefer the luxury of a hotel or guest house we can arrange suitable accommodation a short walk from the academy.
